Floral Arranging by Astar

Television presenter and floral designer Astar was born and raised in Southland. Originally trained in floristry Astar has worked as an art teacher, floral designer and design tutor.

After becoming a ‘finishing artist’ her focus turned to creating floral designs in the many homes owned around the world by the Sultan of Brunei.
Astar has also appeared on Maggie’s Garden Show, worked as a consultant garden designer, was an Ellerslie Garden Show Award Winner and has owned her own Floral and Interior Design business.

Over the past 14 years Astar has appeared as regular guest TV presenter on the TVNZ Good Morning Show demonstrating innovative floral, craft and cooking segments.

Astar’s other passions include the ballet, where she is slowly working towards being the oldest person in the world to achieve solo seal, ones’ black belt in the ballet world! Plus when she has time, her love of both flowers and ballet are expressed onto canvas.

Join us and indulge in coffee and cake before sitting back and watching Astar create and inspire you with her innovative designs during this artful and imaginative demonstration.
